DIVISIONS: NOVICE ONLY
NOVICE MEN: 6 classes:
Bantam Wt. 143 1/4 and under.
Light Wt. - over 143 1/4 and up to and including 154.
Welter Wt. - over 154 1/4 and up to and including 164.
Middle Wt. - over 164 1/4 and up to & including 176 ¼.
Light Heavy - over 176 1/4 and up to and including 198 ¼.
Heavy Wt. - over 198 ¼ up to & including 225-1/4 lbs.
Super-Heavyweight over 225-1/4 lbs.
NOVICE: WOMEN: 2 Classes: Light Weight 114 1/2 and under, Heavy Wt. - over 114 1/2; NOVICE TEEN MEN: one class;
NOVICE TEEN WOMEN: one class.
NOVICE MASTERS MEN: 4 classes: 35 to 39 years old, 40 to 49 years old, 50 to 59 years, and 60+.
NOVICE MASTERS WOMEN: one class: ages 35 and over.
NOVICE FITNESS: one class (additional classes will be added for every 8 entries).
NOVICE FIGURE: two classes-short & Tall (women will be divided in half at prejudging
According to height. Additional classes may be added).
NOVICE MASTERS FIGURE: one class-age 35+.
Promoters and NPC officials reserve the right to change the weight classes if they deem situation requires.
NOVICE BIKINI DIVISION: Classes A, B and C. Competitors will be checked in and measured the same as Fitness and Figure competitors.
ELIGIBILITY
ALL COMPETITORS: (1) Each competitor must be currently be registered with the NPC and to meet this requirement, he/she must present his/her current NPC card, current NPC receipt, or purchase an NPC card at this competition ($90). (2) Each competitor must be an amateur in good standing with the NPC. (3) Any competitor who has WON an overall title or placed first in a NPC sanctioned contest is not eligible to compete in this competition; this is a Novice competition. (4) CROSS-OVER competitors must pay $25.00 extra per Division, and will only be allowed to pose to individual evening routine once. Likewise, late fee of $50 will apply to any competitor whose application is not post marked by April 13, 2010.
TEENS: Each competitor in this Division also (1) must have reached his/her 13th birthday, but not his/her 20th birthday, by April 25, 2010, and (2) must provide proof of age with a birth certificate, driver’s license or State ID.
MASTERS: Must provide driver’s license or ID.
AWARDS: Top (5) in each class will receive a unique trophy.
Best poser will receive additional trophy. Each class winner of the Novice Men, Novice Women, Teenage, Figure, Fitness, Masters Women, and Masters Overall Man will receive a trophy.
Overall Novice men & Woman win GIANT trophy.
RULES: Light oil permitted. Any competitor who competes in prejudging must participate in the evening show. Male and Female bodybuilders are required to wear solid-color posing suits only and no T-back suits are permitted. Figure & Fitness competitors are required to wear a two piece suit in round (1).Women are allowed to wear “multi-colored” or decorative suits (suit must remain regulation cut). No jewelry will be worn during prejudging. All athletes must exhibit good sportsmanship at all times (including award presentation). No one will be allowed backstage or in the pump-up room, except competitors and officials. No Pro- Tan / Jan Tana or any other type of bronzing is allowed back stage or in the theatre area. Posing music must be of good nature (this is a family event). NPC Rules apply. No videotaping.
POSING/MUSIC: Prejudging: No individual posing with music, except for Fitness. For evening show 90 seconds individual posing with music. At check-in, each competitor must provide 2 cassette tapes or CD (in case one fails) with the posing music taped at the
Beginning of an otherwise clear tape, cued to start at the beginning of the tape. All competitors will be presented at the evening show.
